Bangkok
On July 4th 2004 it takes more then 5 hours to complete 5400km flight and cross almost whole country of India to reach at Bangkok international airport. Thailand is in top 50 largest countries list and its capital Bangkok is also listed in top 20 most populous cities. 64 million peoples but also having up to 5 million migrants. Its old name was saim and was changed in 1939. Thailand is also described from Thai peoples...The land of free. Because Thailand is only country in south Asia that never been colonized by any European country. With 1st step out from plane I saw 1st master piece of Thai determination the suvarnabhumi airport. Bangkok is just about 2 meters above the sea level so that makes difficult to protect the city from flood in monsoon season. Lot of night clubs and disco are entertaining the foreigners. Another Special thing of Bangkok is Chao Phraya River is 230 miles long. My room was reserve in intercontinental hotel near gaysom shopping centre. We visit phra nakhon district and see many historical places. My friend told me that the 1st name of city given by king Buddha yodfa known as a founder of Bangkok. In 1688 siege of Bangkok is incedent when thousands of siami (Bangkok) peoples besieged the French troops in fortress for 3and half month and finely matter was negotiate and cause the French withdrawal from city. I was alarmed to not walk away from hotel after evening because armed robbery and other street crimes are common thing. Well travailing is attractive thing but also restless. going to sleep while thinking about glamour’s life of Bangkok disco nights just beside the high ratio of street crimes is proof that it is very hard to be good traveller no matter we have plans and cars and all the stuff.
